Alina Jacobs is a dance pedagogue specialized in improvisation (LPDC®), a contemporary dancer and choreographer, a dancer and teacher in Argentine Tango, and a Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis trainer.

After experiencing and enjoying dance as a child and teenager, especially improvisation (LPDC®), I became on early age interested in how to teach dance and how to guide others in creative processes. So next to weekly dance classes at the Günther-Schule Meerbusch I followed the pre-education for dance pedagogy and choreography taught by Lisa Günther.

After my graduation from high school I joined as preparation for a dance education a summer intensive at Dance New Amsterdam in New York City, a choreography intensive at SNDO in Amsterdam, several open classes for professionals at Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf and I successfully completed a one-year internship at Günther-Schule. 2014 I started with my bachelor studies at Codarts (University of the Arts Rotterdam) at the dance in education department.

During my studies I did various dance projects outside university and continued deepening my experience in the Lex Padilla Dance Concept mentored by Graziela Padilla. With the Corrie Hartong and the Holland Scholarship I went abroad for internships and work experience in Israel (KCDC), Japan (NITTAIDAI) and South-Korea (K’ARTS, Andrea K. Schlehwein). Also I started training in the Gyrotonic method guided by specialized master trainer Robert Hlatky to get grip on my full physical capacity as dancer and dance teacher.

2019 I entered the working field as freelance dancer, choreographer and dance pedagogue. I became guest teacher at Codarts and worked for the dance teaching department project based until 2021. In the same year I started teaching modern dance classes for amateurs and pre-professional dancers at Movement Re-Training Center and I continued in cooperation with Graziela Padilla (founder of LPDC) initiating different projects for spreading the LPDC®.  In 2020 I became as dancer and as choreographical assisstant to Andrea K. Schlehwein member of the art collective NETZWERK AKS | Platform for Contemporary Dance + Art where I was involved in various productions until 2023. Besides that I create my own productions since 2017,

As continuous education I followed the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis education at Movement Re-Training Center to become a trainer myself. Several further educations in both methods, additional coaching by Robert Hlaky and pre-trainer Francesca Bracelli and work experience as affiliated trainer to Movement Re-Training Center (2019 - 2023) are my base to train clients with divers needs, levels, ages and backgrounds.

Quite new to my teaching range is Argentine Tango, a passion which started as hobby and is now further developing as part of my profession. Since 2023 I am dance partner of Yerpun Castro and became a teacher of Tango Circle. Currently I am in a transition period with my work, with the intention to bring all the different aspects, and experiences of the past years together into a complete form.
